In the heart of the Brera Design District, the Milan Design Film Festivsal ( MDFF ) in collaboration with Marcel Wanders, presented Mendini Tribute Cinema , a tribute to the recently deceased Milanese architect and designer Alessandro Mendini.
Continuing the group’s collaboration with celebrated photographers, collections were counterpointed by the colourful and almost surreal photographic details of Levon Biss’’ high-magnification insect portraits.
The ‘Microsculpture’ series was edited from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History collection, providing a fascinatingly and very opulent interior backdrop.
In the iconic setting of the Fine Arts Academy of Brera, symbol of art and creativity, French crystal company Baccarat presente its new lighting collections “Lumières Out of the Box”.
In the Sala Napoleonica, accompanied by sculptures and casts, “Out of the Box” beautifully symbolises Baccarat’s ability to interpret its 250 years of heritage and history with modernity and glamour.

Moooi converted the space into a universe of sophistication, surprising creativity and rebellious harmony – a timeless sense of poetry and harmony, qualities at the heart of Moooi’s style since the brand’s inception 15 years ago
The exhibition explores the first 50 years of Gufram through its most symbolic projects, the ones that in recent years have revived the legend of the brand and its mad and disruptive visions.
Moooi presented an assembly of vibrant living quarters and original product displays, blended into the timeless atmospheres of a unique exhibition of awe-inspiring 4.5 mtr high photographs by Italian maestro photographer Massimo Listri.
The connection that has been established between Erwin Olaf and Marcel Wanders has run since the start of Moooi.
So as a tribute to his dedicated support Marcel Wanders devoted the entire exhibition with a grand selection of photographs from Erwin’s personal portfolio
