The 55th edition, the Salone del Mobile was officially presented on the 11th Feb in a conference at the Unicredit Pavilion, in the presence of more than 400 guests, including journalists, architects and sectoral operators.

The Salone del Mobile is the benchmark in the home-furnishing sector and an unique advertisement instrument for the Italian furniture industry.
Francesca Molteni and architect scenographer Davide Pizzigoni, together devised a project that recreates the private “rooms” of leading world architects by means of real-life videos, images, sounds, comments and reconstructions.
The result is an interactive exhibition space that unveils the architects’ visions of living, their choices and their obsessions.
Specially commissioned by Cosmit, Pritzker Prize 2008 winner Jean Nouvel’s project explored the possibilities of the ” Likable Workplace “.
He explored contemporary building concepts informed by a rejection of cloned, alienating, standardised and serially repetitive spaces, inspiring exhibitors and visitors with different ways of achieving alternative workspace environments.
