Renowned for their finesse, French fashion house Hermès took over La Pelota during the Salone Milan 2017 to present their ‘collections for the home 2017-2018’
The minimal structure inspired by stables, the place where the Hermès adventure as a producer of horse harnesses began in 1837, contains the new furnishings, accessories, fabrics and wallpapers by the French house.
The international company known in the design world for its iconic products for home and office, presented the new 2016 furniture collections together with its classics by distinguished designers like Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen and Harry Bertoia, in a contemporary lifestyle display at Knoll’s permanent Milan showroom, located at Piazza Luigi Vittorio Bertarelli
This year’s presentation of “This is Knoll,” designed by OMA, focuses on color with striking effects, stylistic games and timeless designs.
The display area, divided into six different zones, is carefully arranged in grand style down to the smallest details.

This year, Knoll’s presentation includes innovative new collaborations with renowned architect, David Adjaye and celebrated designers, Barber & Osgerby.
Knoll also presented a selection of recently updated classics by legendary designers, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Florence Knoll, Eero Saarinen, Tobia Scarpa and Marcel Breuer.
With all the excitement for Knoll happening at both their significant return to the Salone Fairgrounds, combined with the presence of Rem Koolhaas to launch the “Knoll Tools for Life” collection at the Prada Space – it was little wonder that this year, Knoll’s permanent Mlan showroom at Piazza Bertarelli received virtually no press coverage.
To mark its 75th anniversary, Knoll’s eagerly anticipated return to the Salone was an ethereal and innovative presentation of their new and iconic residential and workplace designs.
