craighton Berman

Craighton Berman is an industrial designer and creative director based in Chicago, USA. Craighton Berman Design was established in 2006 as platform for forming conceptual ideas into tangible objects. Craighton’s practice is centered around ideas and objects that define new conventions of interaction with the built environment.

Craighton approaches design from a transdisciplinary perspective, fueled by his background in Industrial Design, Design Strategy, and Experience Design. His focus is in shaping authentic & meaningful work that is equally informed by observation & analysis and inspired by intuition & culture.

Craighton is also a lead designer with the innovation consulting firm gravitytank. In this role he collaborates with teams of designers, strategists, and researchers to define future products, interactions, and experiences. Additionally he is adjunct faculty in the Designed Objects program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Craighton also maintains an illustration practice under the pen name ‘fueledbycoffee’.
