T Magazine – The New York Times’ Celebration of Salone Internazionale del Mobile at Villa Necchi kicked off the start of the Salone 2014
Milan Design Week kicked off with aplomb last night, as the two esteemed New York names in publishing hosted an elegant soirée at Villa Necchi Campiglio
To kick off Salone Internazionale del Mobile and celebrate T’s spring design issue, which is out this weekend, some of the world’s best-known architects and designers gathered before the Salone got into full swing
Video art by Derrick Adams set the scene for the party, where T’s editor in chief, Deborah Needleman, and the Italian art curator Francesco Bonami hosted a range of design and fashion luminaries including: Tom Dixon, Francesco Vezzoli, Daniel Libeskind, Ambra Medda, Joseph Dirand, Laura Sartori Rimini, and T’s Tom Delavan amongst many notables
Although really only a busy affair for the last two days of the event in Milan, it’s definitely a series of events worth visiting to see the latest creations fromleading designers from around the world.

The Missoni family joined the likes of Anna Dello Russo and designers Cesare Casado and Brian Atwood, plus architect Fabio Novembre and the artist Francesco Vezzoli – and many others.
