The Excelsior in Milan next to the Galleria – become a second window to the Salone for Depadova‘s iconic showroom in Corso Venezia.
JoAnn Tan‘s installation for the Salone at Excelsior, Milano consisted of a chain of DNA which symbolizes the essence and the birth of design.
The installation begins in the main lobby and reaches the top floor of the multi-level store.
The chromosomes are represented by Depadova”s most iconic chairs.
The DNA chain includes a selection of historic designers and pieces from the Depadova collections — ( see if you can spot which is which on the DNA )

The former Excelsior Theatre has been recently developed into Excelsior Milano is a luxury department store under the Gruppo Coin.
4000 square meters in a single volume, divided into 7 floors,enclosed in a box surrounded by architectural stripe of kaleidoscopic effect video installations, with a plot of floating lifts and conveyor belts.
Fashion, beauty, accessories, food and design you contaminate in the historic building in 4 Galleria del Corso,in the heart of Milan. This important urban space mixes iconic fashion, food and design and is the result of a major architectural collaboration by Jean Nouvel and Monica Armani.
