During the Salone 2017 a dramatic music programme at the Parco Sempione, with international guests and the inevitable local DJs put Salone visitors into a festive mood

6 days of top level performers called to interpret their vision and to provide free events through the Inhabit Grooves event

Milan Design Week 2017 visitors could view the installations, stop, recharge and entertain themselves every day with musical events, with a daily evening program of concerts and DJ Sets on a stage of 80 square meters designed by a studio of young Italian architects.

An arena with stalls and stage will be the background, every evening, from 6pm to 1am, to entertainment shows, video mapping demonstrations, DJ sets and live music: a daily schedule with Italian and international performers.

This project was developed by Re.Rurban Studio together with Killer Kiccen

A stage made of recycled materials, created by N_D Creative, a studio of Florentine architects, will give you light, special effects, video mapping and LED-laser show.

Silent Disco By Silent System

A silent disco or silent rave is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones

Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants.

Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.

In the earliest days of silent discos, before 2005, there would be only one channel available to listen to music through.

Over time, the technology moved along to where there were two, and later technology allowed for a third channel that three separate DJs could broadcast over at the same time.

Silent discos are popular at music festivals as they allow dancing to continue past noise curfews.

Similar events are “mobile clubbing” gatherings, where a group of people dance to the music on their personal music players.

Killer Kiccen, co-producer of Inhabits – Milano Design Village, was formed in a former mechanical workshop in via Pestalozzi 10, on the MIlano’s canals, an area that in the past included several laboratories and artisan shops.

A  multipurpose and multimedia container, in which music, art, light design and good food come together synergistically.
