#Emojimilan, done in collaboration with Central Saint Martins – UAL University was an interactive live project based on the concept of real-virtual contamination, where visitors to la Rinascente were encouraged to take selfies in front of the two windows of the annex, and post them on social networks.

Aldo Cibic – The chameleon Serpent at the Techno Souk
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Rinascente, La Rinascente commissioned Ado Cibic to develop a concept for its’Techno Souq ( designed by Cibic Workshop in 2015 for EXPO Milan )
Techno Souq is made via Santa Radegonda side street of Piazza Duomo, just where in 1865 the Bocconi brothers opened the shop that would one day become the Rinascente, next to the Odeon cinema which was the first hydroelectric plant in Milan, made the headquarters to illuminate the adjacent theater La Scala
Techno Souq is an art installation that delimits an interdisciplinary space for hosting events, cultural events, educational talk, interactive workshops, exhibitions, fashion shows and much more.
The Chameleon and The Souq (The Chameleon and the Souq) is cheerful and colorful installation, which runs for 18 meters and houses in its sinuous coils of the sessions, where visitors can take a break to relax in the hectic days of the Salone
Since the history, science, music, health, the territory was opened, Techno Souq has been the scene of several events that have touched several topics such as art.
This installation aims to emphasize the transitory nature of the annual event in Milan dedicated to design, starting from the chameleon, a reptile that traditionally traditionally located in the Souk of the Maghreb, has a short life, but, in the popular imagination, even some magical power.
The Chameleon and The Souq is a tribute that Aldo Cibic wanted to do in Milan, celebrating a form that evokes the “snake”, the emblem of the Visconti family and symbol of Milan.
It ‘s a gift that Rinascente is pleased to make the city and as such, according to its author, “intended to create a moment of joy.”
