Last month, dedece again had the privilege of welcoming Anna Lenti from “Paola Lenti” to dedece Sydney.
Anna last visited dedece in March, 2012 to help us launch the memorable Paola Lenti collection aboard the “The Island” on Sydney Harbour – the perfect location to showcase Paola Lenti’s Aqua Collection’s gorgeous textured outdoor floorcoverings, ottomans, lounges and armchairs in a host of divine colours
This time around, she was here to help us launch the stunning 2014 / 2015 Paola Lenti collections in Dedece’s beautiful Liverpool street, Darlinghurst atrium showroom space
Dedece, for many years now exclusive distributor of Paola Lenti products in Australia, dedicates the entire display area in Liverpool Street to Paola Lenti’s outdoor “Aqua Collection.”
The setting plays with the contrasts between orange, yellow and lime-green hues and with those between white and all shades of blues, and thus creates colourful and welcoming spaces in the big iron-gray box, which is actually the showroom.

Dedece organised a number of small, intimate gatherings of leading architects, designers and media together with some discerning Paola Lenti clients, to meet Anna in the casual and relaxing environment of dedece’s Atrium showroom space.

Guests were intrigued to learn more about Paola Lenti’s philosphies re ancient handcrafting skills combined with modern materials technology, as well as testing out some truly exquisite pieces from the latest Paola Lenti indoor/outdoor collections
Paola Lenti products are truly unique in appearance and functionalities. With every collection, Paola Lenti suggests a style, a way of being and interpreting the relationship between people’s everyday lives and their surroundings.
Paola Lenti offers spaces defined by elegant simplicity and balance, where each object is the result of careful research into materials, forms and colours.
From natural tones to turquoise mélanges, colours are added to create the relaxed and refined atmosphere ideal for thinking, entertaining and talking
Since 1994 Paola Lenti has followed a coherent and dynamic entrepreneurial strategy based on research and experimentation which has led the Company to establish itself as an international reference in the world of design.
Turning the pages of a Paola Lenti catalogue is like discovering balanced and essential new design landscapes where opposites become complementary: past and present, interior and exterior, tradition and technology.
In this approach one can find a serene coexistence of seemingly diverse influences: where metal and wood structures are designed to be durable; where modern and comfortable interiors seating live side by side with the newest solutions for exteriors; where elegant hand-crocheted floral rugs are created with high-tech yarns.
Each design attributes its originality to the selection and creation of the material and to the simplicity of its forms.
The pieces are created to be timeless in terms of quality, functionality, colour and aesthetics.
Emphasizing the inherent quality and innate potential of each material, the Company creates, compares and mixes colours and shapes.
This intrinsic synthesis leads to a naturally evolving design that combines architectural structures, seating and rugs, all in a coherent style in which nothing is accidental, but all seems to be natural.
Paola Lenti pieces offer a design where colours and dimensions are studied to create harmony without excess; a style which is able to convey an empathy between nature and product.
Paola Lenti is a company which approaches each design as an interpretation of materials and textiles.
Through experimentation, technical knowledge merges with curiosity to create fibres and yarns that allow the company to go beyond traditional barriers between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Through this research the company has developed signature material that are the key to the creation of the contemporary yet timeless forms that are characteristic of Paola Lenti’s singular style.
The company has also become a reference point in its working of these modern fibres in ways that honor and incorporate traditional handcrafted techniques such as weaving, embroidery and sewing.

Paola Lenti pieces offer a design where colours and dimensions are studied to create harmony without excess; a style which is able to convey an empathy between nature and product.
The Company project is based on the study of yarns, their quality and performance, on material experimentation and the valorization of the characteristics that make them unique, on an innate attention to colours.
The rugs and seating collections, both for interior and exterior environments, stand out for the materials and upholstery fabrics, conceived by Paola Lenti and produced exclusively for the Company.
Each fabric originates from the best natural or synthetic yarns, to guarantee functionality and aesthetics.
Rope and Aquatech yarns, the result of the Company’s continuous research and experimentation, allow for the creation of a range of solutions for the exteriors which are enduring and resistant to the atmospheric agents, sun rays, sea and swimming pool water.
The fabrics for interior environments, such as felts of unique quality and performance or wools and cottons proposed in coordinated colours, offer infinite chromatic combinations.
The woods and the stones used for the structures and the tops suited for outdoor use are the result of an attentive selection which is coherent with the Company’s product philosophy.
The metals, selected for their high performances, are treated to further improve their endurance.
Paola Lenti proposes an outdoor project, where architectural elements are blended with seating, seating, fabrics and complements into a harmonious completeness that conveys balance and tranquiliity.
It creates small intimate worlds, which become part of the surrounding nature.
The balancing of dimensions, forms and colours, whether originating from precise rules or from the pure instinct, follows a design concept that never tires, for it is based on a sense of proportion.
Simple forms, coherent materials and colours, offer full freedom of expression and allow for the unconditional combination of different elements and thus the creation of unique, personal spaces.
New and historical products together induce a sense of integrity and coexist in an environment ruled by the equilibrium between its components, where no contrasts but pleasant harmonies are perceived.
The Company approaches each design as an interpretation of materials and textiles.
The designers who collaborate with Paola Lenti share this vision giving life to quality, coherent products.
Through experimentation, technical knowledge merges with curiosity to create fibres and yarns that allow the Company to go beyond traditional barriers between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Through this research Paola Lenti has developed signature materials that are the key to the creation of the contemporary yet timeless forms.
With such approach, the Company has changed the nature of rugs, allowing for such delicate and precious items to go outdoors; the same curiosity and knowledge are turned to natural fibres: through a balanced mix of instinct, creativity and rationality, Paola Lenti has transformed existing materials to offer better quality and higher performances.
Materials and forms are both the result of the Company’s philosophy, which aims to offer essential, contemporary, timeless products.
Social responsibility is since ever one of Paola Lenti most important values. The Company activity is based on a company strategy aimed to combine business results and benefits for the collectivity.
More and more motivated to preserve the value of the environmental, historical and artistic patrimony of the territory where it is based, Paola Lenti has adopted guidelines to help forward the dismissal of recyclable materials and the use of eco-friendly ones, such as woods originating from sustainably managed forests and non-toxic finishing treatments based on natural products.
The same synthetic yarns used for the outdoor fabrics guarantee the product to be enduring and long lasting.
Conscious of the social role that each company should play, Paola Lenti is also committed to promote ethical and responsible labor management practices, building business relationships with entities which respect labor rights.
