Kreon’s Philosophy
Beauty is not created by adding one more detail, it is conceived by removing the last detail.
The design of Kreon’s collection represents a way of thinking that reduces each product to the essential components without compromise.
Luminance and illumination are the primary goals.
The luminaire, a detail that can reflect and integrate within architecture with the purest form that will enhance and add value to its environment, requires a deep understanding of the intrinsic nature and unified components of architectural styles.
These components can be condensed into basic forms, which Kreon exploits within its products.
This approach to design requires that the details of an object are not merely decorative, but are key to the essence of the product as a whole.
Kreon products, in their simplest forms, do not result in austere minimalism, but in architectural objects that communicate with space, regardless of style.
This, combined with careful planning, represents the true meaning of “architectural lighting”.
Kreon, purity in light gives you the opportunity to create the conditions that allow the beauty of architecture to surface.
Kreon’s New Product Introductions for 2014
With the importance of landscape and architectural outdoor lighting arriving at the same level as indoor lighting, Kreon revealed two new outdoor luminaires: Esprit and Raga.
The light cast from these luminaires, their design and the choice of material, merge together to form two individual luminaires, creating an aesthetic design loyal to Kreon’s values
.
Esprit
Inspired by its surroundings, Esprit mimics the branch of a sapling.
Twigs shooting up from their base with sprouting buds of light at their ends, casting accents of light throughout the garden like scattered blossom leaves under a tree.
Its minimalistic presence only given away by up to four dots of light in the dark, connecting the outside world with the life indoors.
Its frail design, stylish finish and directional lighting units, allow Esprit to fit into outdoor settings just like our other outdoor luminaire: Up
.
Raga
Raga, every piece comes with an identity.
By combining an in-depth knowledge of stone craft traditions with an empathy for the material and a concern for its lighting function, Raga becomes a product of high-object integrety.
It’s a distinguised lighting object with simple functional honesty that connects with a visual purity and a strong stylistic authencity in it’s materialisation making each product unique.
The sensitive handling of the natural material and the promotion of the basic forms make Raga a defining feature of Kreon’s newly designed outdoor luminaires.
