Verreum
Verreum, the Czech silver blown glass company, is debuting its 25 piece ‘Love’ collection at Leclettico, shown within Wallpaper* Handmade during Salone del Mobile.
The collection marks the re-launch of Prague based Verreum and its new partnership with Gaia & Gino
.
The Love collection comprises exquisitely hand crafted pieces designed by Arik Levy, Karim Rashid, Sebastian Bergne, Sebastian Herkner, and Defne Koz & Marco Susani.
Shadow by Sebastian Bergne with Verreum is a series of mirrored glass, thermically insulated tableware.
Bergne says: “The idea was to use a double glass wall, which looks silvered on the inside, like a 3D mirror. We’ve made it more contemporary by effectively attaching the pieces to their own shadow, which makes them look quite unstable.
Norwegian designers Oyvind Wyller and Magnor – In Darkness – is handblown into a shape that means light is filtered through tinted glass and therefore doesn’t destroy the ambience by being too bright. The cord is neatly integrated into the hanging of the shade.

Leclettico is a shop and gallery space owned by Claudio Loria – and specialises in one of a kind furniture and object d’art.

About Verreum
Verreum was founded in 2009 by Pavel Weiser.
His mission was to revive traditional Czech glass-making craftsmanship with a particular focus on silvered glass.
The silvered glass technique, the exact details of which are kept secret, involves double- walled glass objects whose interior is coated with silver on the inside walls and the excess silvering drained off.
Verreum has its own glass blowing facilities in Novy Bor and its quest to sustain the glass making traditions of Bohemia means it also cooperates with the rest of the Czech glass industry
