Celebrating the joy of contrast, this year Tom Dixon highlights the opposite qualities of his new products – “Rough and Smooth“.
The ROUGH because this season we have worked on even more textural honesty and material weight of sand-cast nickel-plated aluminium in our production.
And the SMOOTH because we are still fascinated by extreme polished surfaces, sharp lines and modern manufacturing.
Eight new product families include tables, a book and a coat stand, mirrors and lighting.
Base Copper Table Light / Wall Light / Floor Light
With its industrial aesthetic cast iron base, minimal metallic shade and classical proportions, Base remains an interior design staple – so popular, that we’ve added a highly-polished copper shade to the range.
Traditional matt textured cast iron makes up Base Light’s robust body with a spun-copper shade – highly polished to create a super-reflective and alluring shine.
Base Copper is available in Table, Floor and WallLight versions.
Bell Floor Light / Table Light
An exercise in reductionism – Bell is a dome suspended over a dome formed of chrome plated pressed steel. The hyper-polished, mirrored and reflective surface allows Bell to take on the tone and characteristics of its surrounding area – our continued exploration into the super-shiny.
Birch Small Round Top Roll Base
Roll is an example of indestructible mechanical practicality. A series of hard working tables specifically constructed to ease the workers’ burden. The rolling wheel on the cast iron base enables lone waiting staff to reconfigure tables with minimal fuss and assistance. Fitted with a round blanched Birch table top.
Birch Small Round Top Screw Base
A round blanched Birch table top with a cast iron tripod base. The industrial strength of the aluminium screw allows for multiple heights by simply spinning the top and using the lock bolt to fix into position.
Cell Short Pendant / Tall Pendant / Wall light
A light that mimics cellular growth which can be used in multiple, geometric configurations.
Each Cell is made from layers of minutely etched, polished brass filtering light rays to throw a satisfyingly dappled glow casting intricate shadows on walls, floors and ceilings.
Cell Short Pendant and Wall Light use a brass crown LED bulb developed exclusively by Tom Dixon with Megaman.
Fan Dining Chair Black / Natural
Creating an exclamation mark in the home, a dining chair, stool and table are extended from our much loved Fan Chair – a dramatic and sculptural take on the traditional British Windsor Chair.
Formed from machined wooden spindles, a curved back and circular base inject a striking silhouette in the dining space.
Available in Black or Natural Oak, each piece features a black leather seat pad.
Flask Pendant
Like a mysterious chemistry experiment, Flask is a spherical object made up of two, hand- blown, glass components; flask and hood.
The ridged and rounded Flask base refracts the light giving a warm, rippled and comforting glow, while the smoked-glass hood covers the lamp fitting reducing glare.
Gem Mirror – Long / Medium / Small
The Gem family is informed by the facets of semi-precious gem stones and ingots of silver.
A campaign for roughness and sculpting, the two pendant lights and our first ever mirror, are formed of nickel-plated aluminium, each bearing the marks of their making.
Gem’s organic roughness which frames the mirror forms a metallic sculptural form on any wall.
Gem Table – Low / Side
The Gem family is informed by the facets of semi-precious gem stones and ingots of silver.
Gem Table Low is a solid block form made from nickel-plated aluminium and informed by the facets of semi-precious gem stones and ingots of silver.
Bearing angular indentations across its body, the hexagon-shaped table top reinforces its Gem name.
Gem Tall Pendant
An abnormally oversized and overweight pendant light shaped by angular edges and indentations to create a three -dimensional gem shape, mimicking the facets of semi-precious stones.
A warm light is channelled through the open and lengthened body, reflecting off the organically rough surface.
A ceiling rose in the same nickel-plated aluminium accompanies each piece, mirroring the angular gem features of its pendant below.
Gem Wide Pendant
An abnormally oversized and overweight pendant light shaped by angular edges and indentations to create a three-dimensional gem shape, mimicking the facets of semi-precious stones.
Exterior indentations on the pendant form a six-pointed star on the under-side through which light is channelled.
Gem Wall Light
An angular shaped wall light formed of a towering wall-side back and a forward facet which conceals a bulb hidden inside. Bearing the unrefined marks of its sand-casted making, the organic roughness creates a comforting glow when lit.
Mass Coat Stand / Book Stand
Huge chunks of heavyweight, metallic, minimalism. Mass is monster furniture which sets scale and governs authority over any space.
A statuesque coat stand featuring irregular and angular protrusions for hanging, stacking and storing, governing a robust brass presence in any space.
Offcut Stool – Black
A solid birch stool lacquered in the signature black shade. T
he rounded top makes use of the curved and irregular pieces of discarded wood (called wayney edges).
Straightforward to assemble, the Offcut stool comes flat packed and is constructed with wooden pegs rather than screws or glue. Also available in a natural soaped finish and in a signature fluoro lacquered version.

Spun Champagne Bucket Brass / Spun Table – Short / Tall
Space age, Art Deco or Pop – everybody sees a different influence in these three pieces of ultra-expressive, occasional, furniture.
Generously proportioned, curves of spun-sheet solid brass are hand polished to a mirror finish bringing instant disco glamour to the cocktail bar, dining hall or living room.
Made up of three elements; a circular table top and oversized curved rim.
