CEO Poltrona Frau, Dario Rinero, at the presentation of the group’s results in view of Salone del Mobile, confirmed that the pace of activity in the first quarter of the year turned out to be perfectly in line with their forecasts.

The company had in fact expected turnaround in the first quarter and also noted that more than likely Poltrona Frau group will just return to profit in 2010.

The Poltrona Frau Group ( Cassina , Cappellini, and Poltrona frau ) has in fact closed the last two years in red, mainly due to the effects of the global economic crisis and its long and costly restructuring process which, fortunately, seems to have begun to bear fruit.

2009, in particular, was closed with a loss of 7.6 million euros, a decrease from the 9.5 million euro loss in 2008.
