The first MINDCRAFT exhibition was launched in 2008 to highlight and promote works from some of the best craftspeople and designers on the contemporary Danish craft scene. Exceptional works crafted by talented individuals operating within the cross-field of art, craft and design.

The MINDCRAFT concept portrays the development from Handcraft to Mindcraft – a new conceptual design attitude among Danish craftspeople where storytelling, reflection and critical comments are combined with craft skills and aesthetic qualities.

This year, 12 new experimental works represent Danish craft and the unique encounter of material, technique and design that is generated in the craft process. With the use of innovative materials or by using traditional materials in new and unexpected ways, the works offer a humorous, provocative and pragmatic view on reality.
